CIELLOS, PRODUCT OWNER
TORONTO, CANADA

To support one of our long-term strategic customer's product investments, we are seeking a D365 Functional Consultant to fill a role as a D365 Product Owner within our Toronto office locations and serve as a bridge between Product Management and Engineering for a prominent Tax Automation Solution. The candidate must have a background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management (FSC) coupled with experience in designing product features for an ISV solution. The role is a full time opportunity and will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 product, and provide go-to market support for the solutions product roadmap, feature/functionality and integrations focusing on designing new features, identifying gaps in the products, and enabling product and engineering teams. The Product Owner role reports daily through to the customers Product Management team, and directly to the assigned Service Line Director participating as part of our PMO standards and governance focus as a critical success factor for our projects and overall value proposition. 

Role Description

As a D365 Product Owner, you will be responsible as the go-to person for recommending and defining solution requirements inline with the overall product roadmap, identifying and qualifying gaps for implementing Sales Tax automation to business process and workflow within Dynamics 365, and working as a bridge between product management and product engineering resolving needs and keeping the engineering team working at peak performance maintaining a well described backlog.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing projects from contract handover through to project close (lifecycle) and maintaining client expectations, budget/actuals reporting and steering level organization.

  • Develop detailed project task and resource plans, and leading assigned project teams to deliver agreed scope within contractual commitments, while maintaining suitable resource and project forecasting for the entire duration of the project engagement.

  • Produce risk mitigation plans, and escalate potential project issues in a timely manner to stakeholders including solutions and best path resolutions for final decision.

  • Experienced with ERP implementation and Software Deployment practices and supporting the project team (both customer and Ciellos) through the implementation change process

  • Evaluate and qualify clients business processes, align assessment recommendations through to achievable measures and goals for systems change, identify solution dependencies.

  • Ability to manage complex project situations while working with regionally and globally dispersed and diverse teams and projects, including strong communication, organization and facilitating meetings in a fast paced, goal oriented and modern virtual setting.

  • A person that in collaboration with others, has both a flair for planning, organizing and systematizing solution designs in a coherent fashion and in a reasonably detailed way. A person which can also multitask and find new solutions when things change.

  • Strong background in ERP and Finance concepts, understand general accounting principles, and supply chain best practices within a professional services industry focus. Tax Automation Software and/or Tax Professional Certifications are a plus.

  • Knowledge of Agile principles, product backlog planning, and overall Scaled Agile Framework methodology (SAFe) including Sprint/Cycle planning, and product release management.

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 FSC and/or previous AX2012 application certifications.

  • A minimum suitable qualification at the BS/BA degree level, plus qualified experience as a functional consultant designing solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • 5-8 years serving as a consultant within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosphere, both in the implementation and solution design competencies

  • Be results driven, following quantifiable measurements and implementing necessary mechanisms and behaviors of change to achieve project commitments.

  • A good decision maker that can cut through challenges when needed but also understand the value of including others in the decisioning process.

  • A robust person who does not hold back in fear of failing or is stopped by critic from others.

  • An energetic person who cannot sit still for very long and who can create excitement, energy and motivation of large teams and individuals.
